Datalogic are stated as the leading European manufacturer
of scanning systems and knownworldwide in the field of automatic identification
technology and products. Datalogic offer a very comprehensive range
of products, from its vast listing of user-friendly hand-held CCD
readers, to the more advanced laser based radio frequency units. Other
products include fixed position and point of sale units.
Metrologic Instruments Inc. is one of the main
manufacturers of bar code scanning equipment using both laser and
holographic technology. They produce hand-held, fixed projection,
in-counter and industrial scanners.
Just two of the products available are the 'MK6130' wireless hand-held
scanner, which automatically senses the product and scans. It features
an auto discrimination of all standard bar codes and selectable for
either oblong or short-range activation. It has wireless communications
making it ideal for warehouse data collection or inventory production.
The 'MS7001' fixed position scanner is the perfect system for high
speed scanning. Along with a full auto discrimination of all standard
bar codes it has a small footprint that allows the system to be used
where space restrictions are an issue. A 7" depth of field scan
makes this system even more flexible and it terms of its performance
and cost the 'MK6130' is hard to beat.
